CIA Overview

The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is a globally recognized credential for internal auditing, administered by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). It validates a professional’s expertise in internal audit practices, risk management, governance, and control.

To be approved into the CIA program, the candidate must either:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, or
